We seek a highly motivated candidate to co-lead the further development of the transport model FLEXPART and its applications. FLEXPART is a community model, and our group is committed to its further development and making it more user-friendly. We also maintain and develop software to process meteorological input data to the model, as well as software for the analysis of model output. One example is the software FLEXINVERT, which is used for inverse modelling applications, e.g., to determine the sources of greenhouse gases. We are also seeking to establish new scientific application fields for FLEXPART, and the candidate will be free to choose future research directions of his/her own choice.
