As a university assistant (postdoc) on this 4-year position you will be part of the “Quantum Information and Quantum Many-Body Physics” research group, led by Prof. Norbert Schuch. Our research lies at the interface of Quantum Information and Computation with the study of Complex Quantum Many-Body Systems. The Centre for Teacher Education at the University of Vienna is home to the Austrian Educational Competence Centre Biology (AECC Biology), which is headed by Prof. Andrea Möller. The centre conducts scientific research in the field of teaching and learning of Biology. Through innovative, practice-oriented national and international research, teaching and development projects we contribute to the advancement of biology education in schools and other educational institutions. We aim to use the results of our research to derive evidence-based recommendations for school practice, education policy, and the initial and continuing professional development of biology teachers. The current research foci of our team are education for sustainable development (ESD), environmental education, climate change education and biodiversity education, as well as scientific inquiry, particularly experimental skills and understanding the nature of science (NOS). At AECC Biology, you can expect to work with a team of highly engaged researchers at Austria's largest biology education facility.
