We are looking for a dynamic, diplomatic and strategic thinker at the postdoctoral level to run the new Core Facility Animal Care (AC) at the University of Vienna Biology Building (UBB). The AC is grounded on basic research on animal behavior and cognition, but aims to connect researchers from related fields of expertise within the Faculty of Life Sciences, such as developmental and evolutionary biology and neuroscience.
As senior scientist and head of the AC, you will work closely with the existing research teams, and the non-scientific staff to create a critical mass and momentum, to foster excellent, integrated and impact-focused research in a state-of-the-art facility. You will actively contribute to the integration of existing and new working groups, the coordination and mentoring of staff and trainees, and the management of AC’s budget. As a university assistant (praedoc) on this 4-year position you will be part of the “Quantum Information and Quantum Many-Body Physics” group, led by Prof. Norbert Schuch.
