- Mitarbeit beim Aufbau und bei der Weiterentwicklung von Anlagen, insbesondere mit Detektortechnik, Vakuumtechnik, Kältetechnik
- Unterstützung bei Versuchsaufbauten sowohl am Standort in Wien als auch an internationalen Teilchenbeschleunigern
- Arbeit im Institut mit eigener Werkstatt im ehemaligen Gebäude der Postsparkasse in der Wiener Innenstadt
- Arbeit im Werkstattteam, bestehend aus der Werkstattleitung und fünf weiteren Teammitgliedern

- First-Level-Beratungfür administrative Kräfte an Instituten und in der Zentralen Verwaltung entlang des gesamten HR-Life-Cycle
- Verwaltung des People-Life-Cycle: Eigenständige Bearbeitung von Neuanstellungen, Verlängerungen, Nachträgen, Finanzierungsänderungen, Beendigungen und Karenzierungen inkl. Vertragserstellung und Ausstellung von Bestätigungen
- Arbeitsrechtliche Prüfungvon Personalanträgen auf Vollständigkeit, Plausibilität und Konformität mit ÖAW-Kollektivvertrag sowie ÖAW-internen Regelungen und Gesetzen
- Beratung von Führungskräftenim Anlassfall zu personalrechtlichen Fragestellungen
- ÖAW-interne Abstimmungzu allen Personalmaßnahmen
- Information und Beratung des Betriebsrats bei Versetzung, Einstellung und Beendigung
- Mitwirkung bei der Erstellung und Pflege von Prozessen, Memos, Handbüchern und Vorlagen

Your Tasks
- Conducting socio-anthropological fieldwork on migration, memory and urban space in Vienna. Tasks include recruiting participants from Turkish and ex-Yugoslav migrant communities, conducting memory walks and biographical interviews, and documenting and analyzing qualitative and audiovisual data.
- Contribution to collaborative workshops, research documentation and the preparation of publications and follow-up research proposals.
- Active participation in the academic life of the Research Unit and the Institute

Postdoc (f/m/x) - Working on AI Applications for Rare Event Searches with Cryogenic Detectors
- PhD in Particle Physics, Astroparticle Physics, or a closely related field.
- Strong background in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science.
- Experience with cryogenic detectors or low-temperature experimental systems is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or C++.
- Familiarity with deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and advanced data analysis tools.
