PostDoc (F/M/X)

in the research group “Object Itineraries” (Head: A. Waldner) of the Department of Historical Archaeology (Head: M. Steskal).

 

The Austrian Archaeological Institute is Austria's largest research institution in the field of archaeology and an-cient studies. We study human history from the Quaternary period to modern times, taking into account material archaeological sources and the written tradition. The research group »Object Itineraries« is dedicated to the relationship between people and objects in antiquity. The focus is on researching the mobility of objects and groups of objects in geographical, chronological and cultural terms.

Our Offer

The position starts on September 1st, 2025 and is advertised for 16 months and ends on December 31st, 2026. The annual gross salary for this position is € 69.020, according to the collective agreement of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (OeAW).
