Additionally, the work will include the synthesis of diversely substituted small rings, such as cyclopropanes bearing heteroatom substitution. Furthermore, the development of novel methods for sulfur-based olefination will be explored. The design and synthesis of selective bioactive molecules targeting transporter proteins, and the design and synthesis of bifunctional molecules for bioorthogonal chemistry, including the synthesis of diazirines, will also be pursued.
