The Department of Political Science provides research and teaching in the full range of core areas of political science, develops innovative and problem-oriented research focuses and offers a broad diversity of options for its students to seek specialisation. Its staff is currently involved in examining the transformation of governance, state and democracy in different policy areas, geographical regions and political spaces.

Your personal sphere of activity:
- You will support the Alevi Theological Studies team in the organization and administration of their research and teaching tasks. This means, among other things: You will organize meetings, workshops and travel activities. You will take minutes and prepare data. You will provide support in the preparation of publications and events. You will manage project budgets. You will edit the website and send out newsletters.
- You are the central contact person and take care of correspondence in English and German with all interfaces (internal team, university, project partners, students, etc.).
- You will be responsible for maintaining u:cris, managing keys, placing orders and supporting the administration team in the areas of IT and finance.

- Oversee the delivery of IT services to all regional locations, ensuring services meet performance, quality, and operational standards

Call for proposals
In 2023, the Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW) established the Antisemitism Research Group, which aims to conduct comprehensive research into contemporary antisemitism in Austria in an institutionalized form. The ÖAW is inviting applications for 2026 fellowships at all career levels (from pre-doctoral level). The aim of the fellowship is to close research gaps in the field of research on antisemitism in Austria. The call for proposals focuses on projects that deal with manifestations and actors of antisemitism in Austria or with the reactions and/or defensive measures of Jewish and non- Jewish actors.
