Your personal sphere of influence:
The Institute for Constitutional and Administrative Law (Department Prof. Damjanovic) of the University of Vienna has a vacancy for a university assistant ("post doc").
The focus of the position is on public economic law and sustainability law; a sound knowledge of Austrian constitutional and administrative law is required.
The employment duration is 6 years.
Your future tasks:
- Developing and strengthening an independent research profile
- lnvolvement in research projects / research studies
- International publications and presentations
- Responsibility for project applications and the acquisition of third-party funding
- Preparing a habilitation thesis
- Independent teaching of courses as defined
- Supervision of students
- Participation in evaluation measures and quality assurance
- lnvolvement in the department administration as weil as in teaching and research administration
This is part of your personality:
- Doctoral degree/PhD degree
- Solid knowledge of Austrian constitutional and administrative law as well as of public economic law and sustainability law
- Knowledge of and interest in interdisciplinary research
- High ability to express yourself both orally and in writing
- Excellent German and English language skills
- Ability to work in a team and problem-solving skills
In addition, we expect the successful candidate to have
- Solid knowledge of European law
- Teaching experience
- Publications in renowned, subject-relevant media
Desirable qualifications are
- Subject-relevant practical experience
- Subject-relevant experience abroad
- Knowledge of university processes and structures
- Experience of supervising students
- Organization of academic events and conferences
- Experience in research project management
