Stray Animal Welfare and Community Engagement Coordinator Fulltime / 40 hours a week / Vienna Headquarters, Austria



You will be involved in several programmes to help communities in „FOUR PAWS“ strategic regions to promote the responsible keeping and handling of companion as well as stray animals - serving as direct support to the Head of Community Engagement. The programmes focus on 'Shelters and Adoption', 'Animal Assisted Therapy' as well as the care for stray animals.

Your contribution will be
  • Supporting the development and implementation of community engagement projects focused on stray animal care in Eastern Europe and other regions
  • Delivering an e-learning programme for shelter adoption, including the development and implementation of a communications plan
  • Aiding in evaluating, monitoring and reporting of projects
  • Supporting in producing and making programme-information accessible for global fundraising and communications as well as producing content for FOUR PAWS websites and social media channels on our community engagement projects
  • Answering enquiries related to the community engagement department and our projects both internally and externally
  • Administrative tasks such as organising international meetings, taking minutes, preparing internal and external reports and giving presentations
Your profile:
  • Completed studies ideally to degree level with a focus on companion animal welfare or project management
  • Experience in working in a shelter and the rehoming of animals is a plus
  • Ideally experience in working for a non-profit-environment
  • Excellent command of English (written and oral)
  • Strong IT-skills, especially knowledge in using SharePoint and PowerPoint
  • Highly communicative, structured and well organised personality with an intercultural understanding
  • Ability to work as part of an international team and willigness to travel abroad
  • Great affinity to animal welfare and FOUR PAWS values
