Your workplace:
- You will independently hold courses in accordance with the provisions of the collective agreement. (The 20 hours per week workload includes an average of 12 semester hours of instructional teaching/semester.)
- You will take on administrative tasks, especially in the administration of teaching.
- We expect from you the ongoing reception of the current state of science as well as the didactic further training especially during the lecture-free time.

Ihr Arbeitsplatz:
- Sie halten selbstständig Lehrveranstaltungen im Ausmaß der kollektivvertraglichen Bestimmungen. (Das Beschäftigungsausmaß von 20 Stunden/Woche beinhaltet eine Lehrverpflichtung von durchschnittlich 12 Semesterwochenstunden anleitende Lehre/Semester).
- Sie übernehmen Verwaltungstätigkeiten, insbesondere in der Administration der Lehre.
- Wir erwarten uns von Ihnen die laufende Rezeption des aktuellen Stands der Wissenschaft sowie die didaktische Weiterbildung v.a. während der lehrveranstaltungsfreien Zeit.

Your personal sphere of play:
- You will lead the “Exposome Austria Non-targeted Lab”.
- You will further develop the analytical services of the Exposome Austria Research Infrastructure.
- You will execute administrative tasks in lab and infrastructure management, research, and teaching.
- You will build an independent research profile in exposome research and in the field of metabolomics.
- You will contribute to research projects and scientific studies.
- You will publish internationally and give presentations.
- You will apply for projects and acquire third-party funding.
- You will prepare and complete a habilitation suitable for publication.
- You will independently teach courses in accordance with the provisions of the collective agreement.
- You will supervise students throughout their academic progress.
- You will participate in evaluation measures and quality assurance.

Your personal sphere of play:
- Management of the geoscientific X-ray diffraction laboratory "GeoX" in particular the technical maintenance of the instruments, as well as ensuring and documenting the operation of the individual diffractometers, as well as administration of the user base.
- Performing measurements, evaluations, report preparation, and invoicing for contract analyses in the field of X-ray crystallography.
- Supporting and training independent instrument users.
- Teaching theory and practice in X-ray crystallography and its application to powder diffractometry, X-ray phase analysis, and X-ray structure determination, with an extent of teaching as required by the universities' collective bargaining agreement.
- Willingness to collaborate across departments, faculties, and universities with research groups from various areas of materials-oriented geosciences and chemistry, especially within the future competence platform Cryst@VIE.
- Responsible implementation of the relevant official radiation protection guidelines for the operation of the instruments and relevant laboratory facilities, as well as interaction and communication with the responsible authorities.
- Willingness to raise third-party funds, and to establish and maintain active industry contacts.

Ihr persönlicher Spielraum:
- Herausgeberische Betreuung der vom Institut herausgegebenen internationalen Fachpublikationen, zum einen der Fachzeitschrift „Tyche. Beiträge zur Alten Geschichte, Papyrologie und Epigraphik", die im Druck- und im OpenAccess-Format erscheint (Jahresbände sowie Supplement- und Sonderbände), zum anderen der elektronischen Publikationsreihe (OpenAccess-Format) „Wiener Beiträge zur Alten Geschichte online (WBAGon)“
- Betreuung des Forschungsbereichs „Austria Romana“ (Römisches Österreich), zu dem Sie durch Ihre Forschungen und Publikationen beitragen. Ferner wirken Sie an Forschungsprojekten zu diesem Bereich und dazu angrenzenden Themen mit. Eine internationale Vortragstätigkeit wird erwartet.
- Pflege des Institutsarchivs zu Funden antiker Inschriften in Österreich (Corpus Inscriptionum Latinarum, Archiv der Epigraphischen Datenbank Heidelberg); in diesen Rahmen fällt auch die Erstellung der „Annona Epigraphica Austriaca“ (Jahresbericht zu Inschriftenfunden in Österreich) sowie die Bearbeitung der Inschriftenfunde Österreichs für die internationale Année épigraphique (AE), den jährlichen Jahresbericht der neu entdeckten und publizierten lateinischen Inschriften aus der Antike.
- Organisation von Vortragsreihen und Kongressen

Your personal sphere of play:
- Editorial management of the department’s international scholarly publications — on the one hand, the journal “Tyche. Beiträge zur Alten Geschichte, Papyrologie und Epigraphik,” published both in print and Open Access (annual volumes as well as supplement and special volumes), and on the other hand, the electronic Open Access series “Wiener Beiträge zur Alten Geschichte online (WBAGon)”
- Oversee the research area “Austria Romana Austriaca” (Roman Austria), to which you will contribute through your own research and publications; you will also participate in research projects in this and adjacent fields. International lecturing is expected.
- Maintain the department’s archive of finds of ancient inscriptions in Austria (Corpus Inscriptionum Latinarum; archive of the Epigraphic Database Heidelberg). This also includes preparing the “Annona Epigraphica” (annual report on inscription finds in Austria) and processing Austria’s inscription finds for the international Année épigraphique (AE), the annual report of newly discovered and published Latin inscriptions from antiquity.
