- Manage and maintain IT Service Catalog for the Region CEE
- Oversee the delivery of IT services to all regional locations, ensuring services meet performance, quality, and operational standards
- Act as the primary point of contact for IT service requests, incidents, and escalations across the region
- Collaborate with the Regional Management to develop and maintain regional IT service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Define and improve processes and rules to ensure prompt resolution to minimize downtime and impact on business operations
- Continuously evaluate and improve IT services through user feedback, performance metrics, and ongoing service reviews
- Support the Regional IT Manager in the planning, coordination, and implementation of IT projects
- Maintain accurate documentation of IT service operations, including incident reports, service performance, and process workflows

Your personal sphere of influence:
- You are the first point of contact for international ViCAS researchers and fellows.
- You will support Fellows and the management team with organisational questions and administrative processes.
- You will implement and design strategic programme planning, support and further development together with the management team.
- You will support the management team in the periodic call for applications for fellowships.
- You will coordinate scientific events and networking activities such as guest lectures, seminars and workshops.
- You will be involved in ViCAS's public relations work and communication with national and international networks.
- You will be involved in the strategic orientation of ViCAS.
- The Fellows' satisfaction will be improved by your implementation of regular feedback mechanisms.
- You will manage the resources of ViCAS and play an important role in budget planning.
- As the central contact person for organisational matters, you will lead a small administrative team (two additional employees are currently planned).
- You will work closely with the academic management team, which has overall strategic responsibility for the unit, and efficiently implement jointly defined goals in day-to-day administrative work.

Your Tasks
- Lead the ÖAW Team within the AI Factory Austria
- Design and facilitate innovation sprints using frameworks like Design Thinking and agile methodologies.
- Guide cross-functional teams in ideating, prototyping, and validating AI-driven solutions.Evaluate feasibility and strategic alignment of AI prototypes and support next steps.
- Ensure compliance with AI ethics and regulatory principles throughout the sprint process.
- Capture results and derive insights to inform future development and scaling efforts.
- Establishing and maintaining networks in the field of artificial intelligence with academic institutions in Austria and internationally.
- Supporting researchers and innovators from the AI Factory Austria and partner institutions in exchanging the latest scientific methods and findings in fields such as biotechnology, manufacturing, public administration, and physics to accelerate innovation.
- Assisting business partners in effectively utilising new scientific results through targeted technology transfer activities.

The position:
- To assist with the smooth running of the fundraising system and processes, e.g. updating template documents, recording processes, record keeping within the workspace and on the donor database
- To effectively and efficiently record interactions and developments with prospects and donors on the donor database
- To assist with the coordination of visits including scheduling appointments with other university departments, preparing briefings, booking equipment, facilities and refreshments as required
- To support the creation of reports or other formal documentation for university committees and senior staff
- To respond promptly to requests for documentation and information from the Rector’s Office and other senior university staff
- To liaise with colleagues across various university departments to ensure that the Fundraising & Philanthropy team has sufficient fundraising materials available at all times
- To arrange individual, group and departmental meetings
- To assist on donor stewardship at peak reporting periods in the year, to gather and collate information for prompt reporting to donors
- To maintain confidentiality regarding supporter information at all times and ensure compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO)
- To work to agreed deadlines and targets, as agreed, and assist with special projects and tasks within the scope of the role, as required
- To undertake any other duties required which are within the scope and grade of the post, including providing cover and support for other colleagues at busy times and in cases of absence
- To ensure compliance with relevant university policies and procedures.

Your Tasks
- Hold a PhD in Social Anthropology or a closely related field, awarded by 1 January 2026; no earlier than 10 years prior (plus parental leave).
- Previous research experience in the field of digital and/or environmental anthropology.
- Experience in and willingness to conduct long-term ethnographic fieldwork and have relevant language skills.
- Ability to work independently, including conducting fieldwork, data analysis and writing, plus develop original lines of inquiry.
- Familiarity with the anthropological literature on energy and artificial intelligence.
- Be prepared to join an existing research project and actively contribute to its central aims and collaborative inquiries.
- Be prepared to reside in Austria for the duration of the position (excluding fieldwork) and actively participate in project and institute events.
