The Institute for Economic and Social History conducts integrated research and teaching in economic, social, and cultural history, as well as history education in collaboration with other historical institutes. It examines and teaches economic, social, and cultural developments in global, national, regional, and local contexts up to the present day. We are a dynamic team and host numerous third-party funded projects financed by national and international funding agencies such as FWF, Jubiläumsfonds, and EU programs.
