Your personal sphere of influence:
As an advanced university assistant prae doc, you will complete the research team around and perform empirical and theoretical research on banking.
The focus of our research is Finance and Asset Pricing and Financial Intermediation in particular. We are interested in the industrial structure of banking markets, and their prudential regulation. A particular focus lies on resilient business models and the regulation of systemic risk.
You will become a member of the Finance Department.
What makes us special as a team is our focus on banking theory and empirical validation; what is particularly important to us is originality and the desire to exceed the current research frontier.
Your future tasks:
You actively participate in research, teaching & administration, which means:
- Work on your dissertation within the subproject of the Clusters as defined above.
- We expect the completion of your doctoral thesis agreement within 12 months.
- Research in the area of the Clusters as defined above.
- Active participation in the activities of the Clusters.
- International publication and presentation activities.
- Participation in the further development of the Clusters.
- You take on administrative tasks in research, teaching and administration.
This is part of your personality:
- Completed Master's degree or Diploma, in the field of Finance plus at least relevant discussion paper(s) on banking theory.
- Basic experience in academic writing.
- Didactic competences / experience with e-learning.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English (C1 Level).
- Relevant IT user skills to perform empirical research on bank data.
- You should be a team player with high social skills.
