- Mitarbeit bei der Veranstaltungsorganisation
- Wartung, Aktualisierung und Ergänzung von Inhalten auf den Informationskanälen für Studierende
- Schnittstelle zu verschiedenen Einrichtungen der FH Technikum Wien (z. B. Studiengänge, LV-Planung, Hochschüler*innenschaft etc.)
- Dokumentation und Evaluierung von Prozessen und Formaten
- Je nach Qualifikation auch Durchführung von individueller Lernberatung sowie Betreuung und Beratung Studierender bei allgemeinen studienbezogenen Problemen
- Allgemeine Administrative Tätigkeiten (wie z. B. Bestellungen, Raumbuchung, Stundenverplanungen etc.)
- Abdeckung von mind. 2 Öffnungstagen des Vor-Ort-TLC-Supports

What we are looking for:
- You finalise your dissertation according to your doctoral thesis agreement. We expect you to complete and submit your thesis at the end of the grant.
- You continue to participate in research, teaching, administration, (co-)supervision of students, examination activities, evaluation activities and in quality assurance as appropriate in the context of the successful completion of your thesis.

Your personal sphere of influence:
- Participation in research projects in the field of Education for Sustainable Development/Environmental Education/Climate Change Education

Your personal sphere of influence:
We are looking for a highly motivated and creative PhD student to explore fundamental questions of planetary habitability related to Snowball Earth or Earth-like exoplanets. Possible topics could be the mechanisms that allow or inhibit water belt states as alternative scenarios for Snowball Earth, the impact of clouds, aerosols and hazes on the climate and habitability of Earth-like exoplanets, or the development of a new radiation scheme for climate model simulations with high atmospheric carbon dioxide. Whatever the topic, you will develop and run climate model simulations and combine the modeling work with theory and mechanistic understanding. You will have the opportunity to run global simulations with km resolution on some of the fastest supercomputers available for climate science. You will also benefit from our long-term collaborations on Snowball Earth and exoplanets with the Department of Astrophysics of the University of Vienna, the University of Chicago, Columbia University, and Peking University.

- Designing, organising and delivering courses, primarily at the Bachelor's level.
- Leading and organising the teaching teams for laboratory courses.
- Developing experiments and learning materials for the preparation and follow-up of courses to meet modern scientific and didactic standards.
- Advancing teaching and assessment formats, particularly in the use of AI-supported methods for creating laboratory reports as a key component of learning scientific writing.
- Implementing computer-based experimental techniques.
- Training student assistants and tutors.
- Keeping up to date with the latest scientific developments, engaging in ongoing didactic training and taking on research tasks.
- Participating in the Faculty's outreach activities for school students is encouraged.
- Contributing to administrative and coordination tasks related to teaching in experimental basic education.

- You develop, organize, and coordinate research-focused ECH activities, such as research support programs and research retreats for members, international exchange initiatives for senior and early-career researchers, and other initiatives strengthening our mission and vision.
- You develop innovative formats and initiatives to help achieve the Hub's overarching goals, including capacity-building opportunities such as grant-writing workshops.
- You actively engage with the 78 scientific members of the Hub, from early career to senior level, getting to know them and their research profiles to design targeted events, interactions, and co-creation workshops that facilitate and enhance the Hub's research activities.
- You analyse the national and international research landscape and identify research opportunities, supporting the co-directors in shaping the Hub’s strategic direction based on these insights.
- You establish and foster relationships with national and international partners and networks and become familiar with initiatives similar to the ECH.
- You develop metrics for success and benchmarking frameworks to monitor and optimize all Hub programs and performance in line with its strategic goals.
- You are responsible for organizing and preparing high-level Hub meetings, including reporting.
- You work directly with and report to the co-directors (Thilo Hofmann and Sabine Pahl), and collaborate closely with the co-coordinators, Timo Bühler (Events, Capacity Building and Operations) and Nora Gau (Communication, Press and Media Relations), as well as a team of student assistants.
- As part of your role in the team you will contribute research content to the Hub’s webpage, newsletter for members, and the research newsletter ECHO, and you will develop familiarity with University of Vienna processes and procedures.
