The Institute for Austrian Historical Research has a long-standing tradition in the training of archivists. As part of the Faculty of Historical and Cultural Studies, which brings together all historical disciplines at the University of Vienna, it is an internationally recognized research and training center for historical methodology and auxiliary sciences (paleography, diplomatics, records management, source studies, etc.) as well as archival studies. The close institutional ties with Austrian archives in both teaching and research provide an excellent working environment for this position. - Collaboration and research in the field of partial differential equations with emphasis on geophysical aspects (oceanography, atmospheric flow):
o Development of own solutions as part of the research group of Prof. Constantin. o Conclusion of a dissertation agreement within 12 - 18 month is expected. o Membership in the Vienna School of Mathematics and active participation in its activities will be required. - Interdisciplinary colalboration:
o You participate in international scientific collaborations, as well as international conerences and workshops. - Collaboration in teaching and administration:
o You participate in the administration of the institute, teaching and research. o You hold courses and examinations in accordance with the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement and you (co-)supervise students.

Collaboration and research in the field of Mathematics and Biosciences: o Conduct your own, independent research, with an opportunity to apply for independent third-party funding. o Collaborate in the research projects of the "Mathematics and Biosciences" group led by Prof. Hermisson. o Become an active member of the Biomathematics group of the Mathematics Faculty: https://biomathematik.ac.at. - Interdisciplinary collaboration:
o Make use of the excellent scientific landscape in Vienna, especially in evolutionary research: https://www.evolvienna.at/. o Participate in international scientific collaborations, as well as international conferences and workshops.

- Collaboration and research in the field of Discrete Mathematics:
o Development of own solutions as part of the research group of Prof. Bucic o Conclusion of a dissertation agreement within 12-18 months is expected. o Membership in the Vienna School of Mathematics and active participation in its activities will be required. o Attending and presenting your work at local seminars and international conferences. - lnterdisciplinary Collaboration:
o Willingness to participate in international and interdisciplinary research with applied researchers. - Collaboration in teaching and administration:
o Independent participation in the administration of the institute, teaching and research. o Independent participation in and teaching of courses in accordance with the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement.
