Tasks:
- Contribute to the strategic development of the dataTUdiscovery service center in a leading role, including interfaculty cooperation, innovation in AI methodologies, and integration with TU Wien’s digital research ecosystem
- Collaborate with domain researchers based on incoming dataTUdiscovery service center projects to transform scientific problems into robust computational workflows, including data preprocessing, model selection, and validation
- Develop reusable AI models, workflows, and software components, contributing to TU Wien’s open research infrastructure (e.g. TU Wien Cookbooks)
- Ensure reproducibility, versioning, documentation, and deployment of AI/ML tools using best-practice software engineering, e.g., Continuous Integration and Delivery, containerization, model lifecycle management
- Co-author publications of research results in peer-reviewed journals and potentially present outcomes at international venues to enhance TU Wien’s visibility in Research and AI

Your Tasks
- manage and contribute to the development and delivery of training resources on a range of topics in collaboration with experts from within and beyond the institute,
- define and manage editorial and publication workflows to ensure the efficient creation and long-term availability of the training resources,
- provide editorial support for content, communicate with contributors and reviewers, and proofread content,
- map and actively develop shared activities in the training and education field in coordination with project partners, as well as other relevant institutions or related partner initiatives, especially the European research infrastructures CLARIN and DARIAH,
- assist the planning and delivery of training events, including support the streaming and video production,
- coordinate the institute’s internship programme,participate in dissemination activities at conferences, workshops etc.

Ihre Aufgaben:
- Betreuung, Monitoring und Erweiterung der Forschungsnetze im Forschungsbereich Networks (E389-01) mit Schwerpunkt Sicherheit: mehrere vernetzte Standorte, Server großteils Linux-basierend, IPv4 und IPv6, VLANs, optisch und Kupfer, Switches, routed Firewalls mit Subnetting, User-Management, Zertifikats-basierter VPN-Zugang, usw.
- Betreuung, Monitoring und evtl. Erweiterung bzw. Umstellung der Simulationskomponenten: Linux Simulationscluster (derzeit Docker Swarm), Storage und Backup-Storage, GPU-Server, usw.
- Betrieb und Erweiterung der Backup-Komponenten des Forschungsbereichs (derzeit Linux, QNAP)
- Unterstützung und Beratung bei der Auswahl neuer anzukaufender Komponenten (Server, Netzwerk, ...) oder Erweiterung bestehender Komponenten, eigenständige Durchführung der Bestellvorgänge
- Unterstützung beim regelmäßigen Aufsetzen und Betrieb der Netzwerk-Labore und -komponenten in der Lehre und Forschung

As a PhD student, you will, become a core member of the STRENGTH platform and the Environmental Psychology Group at the University of Vienna. - Specialisation 1: The focus is on knowledge of professional competences and its application in the school context. In particular, the position requires skills in school-related teaching and learning from an educational science or explicitly school pedagogical perspective.
- Specialisation 2: The specialisation is characterised by the active participation in the design of teaching practice (“Pädagogisch-praktische Studien”) in the Bachelor's and Master's programmes. In particular, the position requires pedagogical and practical skills and the associated knowledge of the link between competences acquired at university and concrete teaching and school practice requirements. Experience in the organization of school and teaching internships is an advantage.

- Development and operation of applied research infrastructure: Establish, further develop, and coordinate the Laboratory for Organic Manufacturing and Applied Research as a permanent institutional platform for application-oriented chemical research within the Institute of Organic Chemistry.
- Applied research and technology translation: Conduct and support applied research activities in organic and hybrid materials, manufacturing processes, and functional chemical systems, with the objective of translating research results into scalable technologies, prototypes, and demonstrators.
- Innovation and technology transfer: Initiate, support, and accompany technology transfer activities, including cooperation with technology transfer offices, IP management, spin-off preparation, and collaboration with industrial and innovation partners.
- Project coordination and external cooperation: Develop and manage applied research and innovation projects in collaboration with academic groups, industry partners, innovation hubs, and funding bodies at the national and international level.
- Teaching and academic training: Holding indenpent courses within the scope of the Austrian bargain agreement. Contribute to teaching in bachelor’s and master’s programs in the fields of applied organic chemistry, sustainable materials, organic manufacturing, circular economy, and innovation-oriented methodologies; supervise student research projects and practical training.
- Interdisciplinary education and mentoring: Support the qualification of students and early-career researchers through interdisciplinary training formats and mentoring in applied research, prototype development, and early-stage innovation activities.
Outreach and knowledge transfer: Contribute to public, educational, and industrial outreach activities of the Institute and Faculty, including engagement with schools, industry partners, and societal stakeholders, with the aim of communicating the relevance of applied chemical research and fostering long-term cooperation. - Strategic and administrative engagement: Participate in strategic, organizational, and administrative tasks related to research, teaching, and innovation within the Institute of Organic Chemistry and the Faculty of Chemistry.
