Your Tasks
- Develop and implement strategies to promote the AI Factory Austria’s services to users, stakeholders, and the broader public
- Establish and maintain partnerships with other AI Factories, EuroHPC Competence Centers, and related European/national AI initiatives
- Coordinate collaborative frameworks with testing facilities, Digital Innovation Hubs, and innovation ecosystems
- Organise community engagement activities such as events, workshops, and knowledge-sharing formats
- Collect, update, and analyse benchmarking data to improve the AI Factory’s Austria operations and share best practices across Europe
- Support researchers and innovators from the AI Factory Austria and partner institutions in exchanging the latest scientific methods and findings in fields such as biotechnology, manufacturing, public administration, and physics to accelerate innovation.
- Assisting business partners in effectively utilising new scientific results through targeted technology transfer activities.

Your Tasks
- Design and coordinate AI training programs aligned with the AI Act and industry needs to upskill professionals and foster trustworthy AI.
- Establish and manage an internship and exchange program connecting academia, industry, and European AI partners.
- Build and maintain networks to promote AI related knowledge transfer and long-term collaboration across sectors.
- Serve as a central contact point for training, internships, and exchange activities within the AI Factory Austria.
- Monitor program impact, gather feedback, and ensure continuous improvement and strategic alignment.
- Support researchers and innovators from the AI Factory Austria and partner institutions in exchanging the latest scientific methods and findings in fields such as biotechnology, manufacturing, public administration, and physics to accelerate innovation.
- Assist business partners in effectively utilising new scientific results through targeted technology transfer activities.

Your Tasks
- Hold a PhD in Social Anthropology or a closely related field, awarded by 1 January 2026; no earlier than 10 years prior (plus parental leave).
- Previous research experience in the field of digital and/or environmental anthropology.
- Experience in and willingness to conduct long-term ethnographic fieldwork and have relevant language skills.
- Ability to work independently, including conducting fieldwork, data analysis and writing, plus develop original lines of inquiry.
- Familiarity with the anthropological literature on energy and artificial intelligence.
- Be prepared to join an existing research project and actively contribute to its central aims and collaborative inquiries.
- Be prepared to reside in Austria for the duration of the position (excluding fieldwork) and actively participate in project and institute events.

Your personal sphere of influence:

Completed Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Data Science, Bioinformatics, Medical Informatics, or a related technical field. A Master's degree is a plus but not a requirement -
Solid knowledge in scientific computing and data engineering -
Formal education or practical experience in computer science or data engineering -
Strong initiative and excellent organizational skills -
Passion for developing and optimizing advanced data infrastructures -
Experience handling sensitive data and familiarity with relevant data protection standards (e.g. GDPR), ideally in the healthcare sector -
Proficient in working with data management systems and frameworks (e.g. SQL, NoSQL databases like MongoDB or ElasticSearch) -
Familiar with container technologies (e.g. Docker) -
Hands-on experience with version control and collaborative development tools (e.g. Git, GitHub, GitLab) -
Basic knowledge of machine learning and statistical analysis methods

- You create software solutions and data processing pipelines for computational modeling, including data analysis and preparation of results for publication.
- You sign a doctoral thesis agreement within 12-18 months and complete your thesis within the duration of the contract.
- You work on your dissertation and its completion.
- You hold courses independently within the scope of the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement.
- You contribute to the organization of meetings, conferences, and symposiums as required.
- You take on and assist with administrative tasks in research, teaching and administration.
