Tasks:
- Deep interest in scientific problems and the motivation for independent and goal-oriented research
- Independent teaching or participation in teaching and supervision of students
- The ability to develop methods, concepts, as well as their realization and evaluation and the willingness to contribute in interdisciplinary scientific projects
- Participation in organizational and administrative tasks of the research division and the faculty

Tasks:
- Analyze and optimize architecture and performance of an existing data warehouse system
- Improve ETL processes, including incremental and source-specific update strategies
- Introduce and evaluate optimized data models and indexing approaches to accelerate query execution
- Enhance system monitoring, fault tolerance, and recovery mechanisms to improve operational resilience
- Collaborate with technical and academic partners to align developments with production workflows
- Publish results and contribute to dissemination within relevant technical communities
- Participation in organizational and administrative tasks of the research division and the faculty

Your Tasks
- A full-time employment (40 h/week), initially limited for one year, intended to be permanent

- A monthly gross salary of at least € 4054,62 (14 times per year) according to the salary scale of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (N4/2).(Depending on qualification and experience, the salary can be negotiated.)

Your professional field of activity:
- Collaboration and research in the field of Discrete Mathematics:
o Development of own solutions as part of the research group of Prof. Bucic
o Conclusion of a dissertation agreement within 12-18 months is expected.
o Membership in the Vienna School of Mathematics and active participation in its activities will be required.
o Attending and presenting your work at local seminars and international conferences. - lnterdisciplinary Collaboration:
o Willingness to participate in international and interdisciplinary research with applied researchers. - Collaboration in teaching and administration:
o Independent participation in the administration of the institute, teaching and research.
o Independent participation in and teaching of courses in accordance with the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement.
