Your Tasks
- Conduct research on language variation and change in Austrian dialects
- Contribute to the preparation and submission of project proposals related to research on language variation and change in Austria
- Perform lexicographic and corpus linguistic processing and analysis of language data and corpora from the institute (including the “Dictionary of Bavarian Dialects in Austria (WBÖ)”)
- Collaborate within the research department “Linguistics” (consisting of postdocs, doctoral students, student assistants, and professors)
- Participate in project meetings (in various formats and group sizes), conferences, and symposia

Your Tasks
- Completed doctoral degree in musicology in the field of historical musicology
- Excellent knowledge of the music history of Austria and its neighboring countries
- Good knowledge of Austrian history
- Interest in lexicographical issues
- Experience in editorial work
- Excellent knowledge of German, for applicants whose first language is not German, at least at level C1
- Proficiency (reading) in Fraktur fracture font and current script
- Very good knowledge of MS Office and Adobe Photoshop (or similar graphics programs)
- Ideally, confident use of the Oxygen Editor (or similar XML editors)
- Willingness to learn x-technologies (xPath, XSLT)
