- Communication: As the central point of contact, you will communicate in English and German with all partners (within the institute, with the university, project partners, students, etc.) and maintain the institute's website.
- Events: You will organise meetings, information events, lectures and symposia, including financial administration and taking minutes.
- Finance: You will monitor the institute budget’s income and expenditure (invoice controller) and assist with budgetary planning and reporting.
- Administration: You will assist scientific staff with the administration of their courses and exams. You will provide administrative support for externally funded projects and order office supplies for the institute.
- Human resources: You will administer the recruitment process as well as general HR matters and provide first-level support for time management (time administrator).

Tasks:
- Develop advanced spatially-resolved characterisation methods based on X-ray diffraction tomography and/or hyperspectral X-ray imaging
- Participate in measurement campaigns internationally at synchrotron light sources and other large-scale research facilities
- Develop broad personal competence in characterisation of functional materials
- Actively participate in, and initiate, research collaborations within the faculty and on (inter)national level
- Collect, treat, and interpret research data effectively and efficiently according to FAIR principles
- Participate in teaching and supervision of students
- Participate in scientific events, including national and international conferences, workshops, etc.

- Design and fabricate nanomaterials and incorporate them into polymer thin films
- Functionalize film surfaces to introduce anti-soiling and anti-icing properties
- Characterize optical and surface properties and link them to functional performance

As PhD student in a predoctoral position at the Department of Economic and Social History, you actively participate in research, teaching and administration in the field of economic and social history of the Middle Ages and the Early Modern Period, as well as in one of the key research areas of the Faculty and its Doctoral School relevant to your dissertation project (i.e. “Economy and Society from a Historical-Cultural Perspective” or “Global History”). A connection to the Cluster of Excellence “Eurasian Transformations” is possible.

- Sie recherchieren den aktuellen Stand der internationalen Literatur zum Projektthema und arbeiten diesen für die Datenerhebung auf.
- Sie wirken an der Erstellung der empirischen Erhebungsinstrumente (qualitative Interviews, Gruppendiskussion) mit.
- Sie führen qualitative Interviews mit Mitarbeiter*innen des österreichischen Strafvollzugs mit verschiedenen Verantwortungs- und Aufgabenbereichen. Außerdem unterstützen Sie bei der Durchführung von Gruppendiskussionen.
- Sie wirken an der Datenauswertung mit.
- Gemeinsam mit dem ganzen Projektteam erarbeiten Sie Empfehlungen, Leitfäden und Schulungsunterlagen für den österreichischen Strafvollzug.
