Korean Studies at the University of Vienna is seeking a University Assistant (Prae Doc).

You actively participate in research, teaching & administration, which means:
- Developing a doctoral research project in the area of Korean Studies.
- Presenting and publishing zour own research.
- Teaching on Korea and basic methods at the BA level.
- Supporting our administrative tasks in research, teaching and administration.
This is part of your personality:
- Completed Master's degree or Diploma, in the field of Korean Studies or a related cultural or social science discipline with a clear focus on Korea.
- Solid knowledge of cultural or social science theories and methods.
- Research on a topic that, in terms of content and methodology, corresponds to the research agenda of the institute or the focus areas of the faculty members.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in German and English
- Excellent knowledge of Korean, both written and oral
- You should be a team player with high social skills
Additional skills and competence (desirable skills):
Ideally you are experienced or versed in:

- Previous experience in teaching
- Prior publications
What we offer:
The contract term upon employment is four years.
Initially limited to one and a half years, the employment will be automatically extended to four years if the employer does not submit a declaration of non-renewal within the first 12 months. Work-life balance: Our employees enjoy flexible working hours and can partially work remotely.
