At the Institute of Chemical, Environmental and Bioscience Engineering, in the Research Group for Process systems engineering for sustainable resources TU Wien is offering a position as university assistant (prae-doc) until expected September 30th, 2026 for 30 hours/week. Expected start: January 2026.
The research topic is related to Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage systems, with focus on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Techno-economic Assessment (TEA) and is part of the European project HIRECORD (https://hirecord.eu/).
Tasks:
- Leading the LCA/TEA research topics and collaborating with an intenrational team
- Contribution to scientific publications and project results dissemination in conferences, webinars, etc.
- Assistance/Collaboration in project organizational and administrative tasks
- Participation in teaching tasks
Your profile:
- Completion of a master or diploma curriculum in one of these fields: Process/Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering
- Experience in the following scientific fields: LCA, TEA, Process Modelling
- English proficiency at least B2 level
- Interest in the research field of process systems engineering
- Very good communicative skills and team competences and innovative ability

Entry level salary is determined by the pay grade B1 of the Austrian collective agreement for university staff. This is a minimum of currently EUR 2,786.10/month gross, 14 times/year for 30 hours/week. Relevant working experiences may increase the monthly income.
