Your new workplace:
The Institute of Civil Law (Univ.-Prof. Dr. Christian Rabl) is seeking to fill two positions as University Assistant (prae doc) starting October 1, 2025. The employment level is 30h/week.
The employment for prae doc assistants is for 4 years, whereby the employment relationship is initially limited to 1.5 years and is automatically extended to a total of 4 years, unless the employer submits a declaration of non-renewal after a maximum of 12 months.
Interested candidates with a degree and above-average academic achievements, particularly in civil law and in the minor subjects of private law, are invited to apply.
This is what you do:
- You will be involved in research projects and academic studies in the field of civil law.
- We expect you to complete your dissertation agreement within 12-18 months.
- You will work on and complete your dissertation.
- You will teach courses independently in accordance with the provisions of the collective agreement.
- You will take on administrative tasks in research and teaching.
Minimum requirements:
- Completion of a law degree with clearly above-average results
- High level of professional competence, methodological and didactic skills
- Very good written and spoken German and English and excellent written and oral communication skills
- IT user skills
- Ability to work in a team
Desirable qualifications are:
- Knowledge of university processes and structures
- Initial experience in academic work
