The applicant for this position at the Institute for Civil Law should have demonstrable, profound experience in research and teaching in the field of civil law, specifically in Austrian and/or German as well as European law. The applicant should aim to further develop these qualifications with the goal of obtaining habilitation in the field of civil law. We are a dedicated team working intensively in teaching and research on Austrian and European civil law. Responsibilities of this position include:
Active participation in research, teaching, and administration, which includes:

- Developing or expanding an independent research profile
- Contributing to research projects/scientific studies
- Engaging in international publication and conference activities
- Applying for projects and acquiring third-party funding
- Preparing/completing a (publication-ready) habilitation
- Independently conducting courses within the scope of collective agreement regulations
- Supervising students
- Participating in evaluation measures and quality assurance
- Contributing to research, teaching, and institute administration
Requirements:
- Teaching experience
- Experience in contributing to research projects
- Publications in renowned, subject-specific media (peer-reviewed, depending on disciplinary standards)
Desirable qualifications
- Knowledge of university processes and structures
- International experience
- Experience in student supervision
