The Department of Developmental and Educational Psychology at the Faculty of Psychology has a vacancy for a postdoctoral position (40 hours/week, limited to 6 years). The position is assigned to the field of Psychological Education and Transfer Research (Head: Univ.-Prof. Dipl.-Psych. Dr. Barbara Schober). We are looking for a candidate with a degree in psychology, a doctorate in psychology, scientific interests and experience in research and teaching in the field of empirical educational psychology with a focus on motivation, well-being and learning at school, development, evaluation and implementation of intervention programs, or gender and diversity in educational contexts. Support will be provided for the writing of a cumulative habilitation thesis. Applicants should be able to work well in a team and have strong social skills. We offer the opportunity to work in a highly motivated, committed, and internationally oriented team. In addition, a programmer and experimental laboratories are available to the working group for the preparation and implementation of research work. The tasks include scientific research and independent teaching in accordance with the provisions of the collective agreement in the areas of the field of work, as well as participation in university self-administration.
Your future tasks:
Active participation in research, teaching & administration, which means:
- You will develop an independent research profile in the field of empirical educational research with a focus on one of the areas mentioned above.
- You will participate in research projects and scientific studies.
- You will publish internationally and give lectures.
- You will apply for projects and solicit third-party funding.
- You hold courses independently within the scope of the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement.
- You supervise students.
- You will participate in evaluation measures and quality assurance.
- You will take on administrative tasks in research and teaching.
This is part of your personality:
- Completed doctoral/PhD studies in psychology
- Research expertise and initiative demonstrated through international publications in peer-relevant media
- Experience in research management
- High quality in your own teaching and experience with e-learning
- IT and method skills (e.g., SPSS)
- Excellent English skills (C1)
- Team player with strong social/communication skills
- High level of commitment and independence
