Research Software Engineer (Data Science & Web Development)
(Part-time 60%, 24 hours per week)
to be filled at the earliest possible date. The employment is limited until February 28, 2026.
Your Tasks
- Development of extensions for web applications for mapping (scientific analysis, visualization, and management) of spatial data from various sources, including interactive user interfaces
- Preparation of development-related documentation and user guidelines
Your Profile
- Completed PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, or a related field, ideally with a focus on data analytics methods or operations research
- Knowledge and experience in applying data science techniques in the social sciences
- Knowledge of SQL, .NET, application servers, interfaces, as well as the programming languages (e.g.,C++, Java, C#), markup languages (e.g.,HTML), and scripting languages (e.g.,Python, JavaScript, PHP)
- Excellent analytical, conceptual, and organizational skills as well as a high level of self-motivation

For this position, we offer a minimum gross monthly salary of € 4.930,60 (W3/1) on a full-time basis in accordance with the collective agreement.
