Ihre Aufgaben:
- Als Senior HPC Architekt sind Sie der technologische Kopf hinter unseren komplexesten Systemen. Ihr Fokus liegt auf der Symbiose aus Hardware-Effizienz und softwareseitiger Performance
- Design & Konzeption: Planung und technisches Design von HPC-Clustern, Storage-Systemen und High-Speed-Netzwerken (Infiniband u.Ä.)
- Technologietransfer: Evaluierung neuer Technologien (z. B. GPU-Beschleuniger, FPGA-Integration, ARM-basierte Architekturen) auf ihre Praxistauglichkeit für wissenschaftliche Workloads
- Performance Engineering: Analyse und Optimierung der Skalierbarkeit von wissenschaftlichen Applikationen auf Tausenden von Kernen
- Strategische Beschaffung: Erstellung technischer Spezifikationen für EU-weite Ausschreibungen und enge Zusammenarbeit mit Hardware-Partnern
- Mentoring: Fachliche Führung von Junior-Systemadministratoren und Beratung von Forschungsgruppen bei der Portierung ihrer Codes

Tasks:
- Support the engineering and integration of advanced AI software components
- Contribute to the design and development of various data wrangling phases (e.g., cleaning, integration) to help harmonize different data sources
- Assist in interlinking TU Wien’s data sources with online platforms to identify research trends and enable comparative analyses
- Support navigation and information extraction from knowledge graphs
- Support the construction of scientific prototypes and proofs-of-concept to help demonstrate successful approaches
- Provide regular input to consultations and assist in the preparation and presentation of results to stakeholders
