Your work setting:
- You work on your dissertation and its completion within four years
- You work on the dissemination of your research (e.g. through conference participation and publications)
- You become an active member of the new research platform “Multilateralism Revisited”
- You teach courses within the scope of the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement for Austrian universities (up to two teaching hours per week)
- You participate in, (co-)organize, and contribute to joint activities of the research platform such as workshops, public seminars and lectures, grant-writing, and publications
- You participate in the events of the respective department where you are based

Your personal sphere of influence:
- Independent development, coordination, and implementation of communication strategies and campaigns covering all aspects of ViCAS, involving numerous stakeholders.
- Translate complex research into engaging content for blogs, press releases, and social media, using state-of-the-art communication practices. Creation and delivery of multimedia content for internal and external communication channels.
- Content planning and channel management, including the further development of communication channels, incl. managing and regularly updating the content of the Centre’s website.
- Collaborate closely with the ViCAS fellows to understand their scientific work and ensure its accurate representation.
- Build and maintain relationships with relevant (digital and legacy) media, coordinating interviews and managing media requests.
- Event management: Integration of ViCAS events in the communication strategy of the Centre and support of the Academic Coordinator with the organisation and execution of program events, workshops, and meetings.
- Monitor the effectiveness of communication measures and monitor media trends and public discourse in relevant scientific areas, using insights to refine strategies and enhance impact.

Tenure-Track Professorship in Development Economics
- Doctoral degree/PhD
- Two years of international research experience during or after doctoral studies
- Outstanding research achievements, excellent publication and funding record, international reputation
- Gender and diversity competence
- Experience in designing of and participating in research projects, ability to lead research groups and acquire third-party funding
- Enthusiasm for excellent teaching and supervision at the bachelor's, master's, and doctoral level
