- Molecular biological analyses for health-related water microbiology (e.g. DNA extraction, PCR, qPCR, sequencing)
- Bioinformatic analyses of microbial community composition using sequencing data
- Statistical analyses of environmental and microbiological data
- Sample collection (water samples from various environments)
- Participation in ongoing projects and collaborative work within a research network

- You lead the software development and support research applications of the orbital modeling code DYNAMITE.
- You contribute software expertise to other computational astrophysical projects.
- You contribute to publications in peer-reviewed journals and to (re)presentations at international meetings.
- You (co-)supervise Bachelor, Master and Doctoral students in Astronomy.
- You teach within the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement.
- You take on administrative tasks in research and teaching.
- You become an engaged member of the 'Dynamics of Stellar Systems' research group and the Department of Astrophysics.

Tasks:
- Develop advanced spatially-resolved characterisation methods based on X-ray diffraction tomography and/or hyperspectral X-ray imaging
- Participate in measurement campaigns internationally at synchrotron light sources and other large-scale research facilities
- Develop broad personal competence in characterisation of functional materials
- Actively participate in, and initiate, research collaborations within the faculty and on (inter)national level
- Collect, treat, and interpret research data effectively and efficiently according to FAIR principles

Your professional field of activity:
- You pursue your ambitious independent research agenda at the interface of Quantum Information and Quantum Many-Body Physics, with its focus on the mathematical theory of tensor networks, and the application of this theory to the comprehensive study of mathematical problems in quantum many-body systems.
- You collaborate on research projects with the members of the “Quantum Information and Quantum Many-Body Physics” group, and you actively maintain a network of international scientific collaborations.
- You disseminate your results through publications in renowned peer-reviewed journals, as well as through presentations at international conferences and workshops, and engage in outreach activities aimed at the general public.
- You actively acquire third-party funding for postdoctoral and doctoral positions to bolster your independent research agenda, and participate in collaborative grant applications of local, Austrian, and international initiatives.
- You contribute to teaching according to § 49 paragraph 7 of the collective agreement and independently hold courses and examinations, in particular in the field of Quantum Information and Quantum Many-Body Systems at the Faculty of Mathematics.
- You (co-)supervise bachelor, master, and PhD students, and you independently propose bachelor, master, and PhD projects to this end.
- You participate in evaluation measures and in quality assurance.
- You actively contribute to administrative tasks.
