Your tasks
We seek excellent candidates with a strong background in natural sciences. Successful candidates must hold a Master’s degree in physics, astrophysics or equivalent at the latest by the starting date of the position but preferably at the time of application. Previous experience on aspects of computational chemistry, machine learning and related fields, and a track record of team work will be beneficial for the selection, as will experience in scientific coding and scientific publishing.

Your working place:
- You lead the software development and support research applications of the orbital modeling code DYNAMITE.
- You contribute software expertise to other computational astrophysical projects.
- You contribute to publications in peer-reviewed journals and to (re)presentations at international meetings.
- You (co-)supervise Bachelor, Master and Doctoral students in Astronomy.
- You teach within the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement.
- You take on administrative tasks in research and teaching.
- You become an engaged member of the 'Dynamics of Stellar Systems' research group and the Department of Astrophysics.
