The team of Univ.-Prof. Dr. Iris Eisenberger, M.Sc. (LSE) is looking for a university assistant prae doc with an interest in innovation law issues to support teaching and research in the field of innovation and public law, starting on January 8, 2026.
The position is filled for a period of 4 years. Initially limited to 1.5 years, the employment relationship is automatically extended to a total of 4 years unless the employer submits a declaration of non-renewal after a maximum of 12 months.
Your future tasks:
You actively participate in research, teaching & administration, which means:
- Support of the professorship (Innovation and Public Law) in research, teaching and administration
- Participation in teaching and independent teaching of courses as defined by the collective agreement
- Participation in student supervision and examination activities
- Participation in international and interdisciplinary research projects of the department
- Work on an existing dissertation or development of a dissertation project in the field of innovation and public law
- Participation in the administration of the institute and department and in evaluation measures as well as in quality assurance
This is part of your personality:
- Degree in Law (“Magister” or a comparable degree)
- Knowledge of Austrian public law in particular
- Interest in innovation law
- Excellent written and spoken German and English skills
- Ability and motivation to work in an interdisciplinary and international team
- Independent and structured way of working
- Good organizational skills
- Good IT skills (at least MS Office) required
Desirable qualifications are:
- Knowledge of university processes and structures
- Experience in scientific work
