Your personal sphere of influence:
You will become part of the Unit of Psychology of Aging headed by Prof. Dr. Jana Nikitin. We are looking for candidates with a strong interest and research experience in the field of psychology of aging. Priority areas are social and environmental aspects of aging. Tasks encompass research and teaching, and participation in academic self-government.
The employment duration is 4 years. Initially limited to 1.5 years, the employment relationship is automatically extended to 4 years if the employer does not terminate it within the first 12 months by submitting a non-extension declaration.
The position is scheduled to be filled on March 1st 2026.
Your future tasks:
As a university assistant prae doc, you will complement/complete the research team and take over tasks like:
- Integration into the psychology of aging team in research, teaching, and administration
- Participate in research on the environmental and social aspects of aging
- Conducting teaching lectures independently
- International publications and presentations
- Supporting the acquisition of third-party funds
- Active student support
- Participation in the administration of the department
- You are working on your dissertation and finalising it, and we expect you to finalise your dissertation agreement within 12-18 months.
This is part of your personality:
- Completed Master's degree or Diploma in the field of psychology (with excellent results)
- Excellent knowledge in methodology and statistics
- Excellent competences in psychology of aging
- Didactic competences / experience with e-learning
- Excellent command of written and spoken English (C1 Level); German language is desirable
