As a university assistant prae doc, you will be part of the research team around Assistant Professor MMag. Dr. Monika Stempkowski and take over tasks like actively contributing to research and teaching as well as scientific publications and research activities at the research platform for legal psychology. The focus of our research is empirical criminology. Our team currently consists of one assistant professor, one prae doc, one teaching assistant and one administrative colleague.
Your future tasks:
You actively participate in research, teaching & administration, which means:
- Contribution to research projects.
- Contribution to publications/scientific articles/scientific talks.
- Contribution to and independent teaching within the scope of the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement.
- Student assistance
- Contribution to the organisation of conferences and symposiums.
- Contribution to administrative tasks in research, teaching and administration.
- We expect you to finalize your dissertation agreement within 12-18 months.
- Your own scientific activities (especially writing a dissertation) will be encouraged and supported.
This is part of your personality:
- Completed Diploma, in the field of law
- Basic knowledge of empirical research
- Excellent command of written and spoken German
- Very good command of written and spoken English
- Independent and results responsible way of working
- Comprehensive IT user skills
Desirable skills:
- Completion of elective courses on criminal justice and criminology
- Experience in emipirical research
- Didactic competences
- You should be a team player with high social skills.
Working conditions:
The contract term is 4 years. Initially limited to 1.5 years, the employment relationship is automatically extended to 4 years if the employer does not submit a non-renewal declaration within the first 12 months.
