Your personal sphere of influence:
Your future position is at the Institute of Theatre, Film and Media Studies and is subject to the professorship for Cultural history of audiovisual media.The contract term upon employment is 3 years. Initially limited to 1,5 years, the employment relationship will be automatically extended to 3 years if the employer does not submit a declaration of non-renewal within the first 12 months.
Your future tasks:
You actively participate in research, teaching & administration, which means:
- You are involved in research projects.
- Your are involved in publications and scientific articles.
- Your are involved in organising meetings, conferences and symposiums.
- You work on your media sicience dissertation and its completion.
- You hold courses independently within the scope of the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement.
- You take on administrative tasks in research, teaching and administration.
- You supervise students.
This is part of your personality:
- Completed Master's degree or Diploma, in the field Theatre, Film and Media Studies with a focus on media studies
- Special skills in one or more ares of media studies: media theory, media history as social history, gender-media research, class and / in media demonstrated by qualification papers or other forms of publication
- Methodical skills in the area of media analysis
- Didactic competences / experience with e-learning
- Excellent command of written and spoken English (C1 Level)
- IT user skills
- High ability to express yourself both orally and in writing
- You should be a team player with high social skills
Desirable knowledge:
- Knowledge of university processes and structures
- Experience abroad
- First practice in scientific writing and research methods
- Experience with image editing programmes
