Your personal sphere of play:

The faculty of Business, Economics and Statistics at the University of Vienna invites applications for the position at the assistant professor level ("University Assistant") in the field of Accounting. The contract is limited to 4 years. Applicants should have completed a PhD in Business Administration with focus on Accounting, and preferably on issues related to IAS 38 - Investment in R&D.

Knowledge of German is an asset, but not required.

The candidate should have published articles in leading peer-reviewed scientific journals and demonstrated the ability to secure third party funding.

Your future tasks:

Active participation in research, teaching & administration, which means:

This is part of your personality: 

•    Completed doctoral/PhD studies in business administration with focus on accounting, and preferebly on issues related to IAS 38 - Investment in R&D.
•    Outstanding dissertation
•    Research competence and initiative proven through international publications in peer-reviewed journals
•    Experience in research management and in leading project staff
•    Didactic skills / experience in e-learning. Formal teaching accreditation will be an asset.
•    IT skills
•    Knowledge of: IAS/IFRS and ESRS is a significant advantage
•    Excellent knowledge of English (C1)
•    Team player and high social/communicative skills
•    Knowledge of qualitative methodologies, including qualitative interviews, textual analysis, and content analysis
•    Previous professional experience in the accounting field is desirable
