Your personal sphere of play:
Your future position is at the Institute for Constitutional and Administrative Law in the field of medical law. This institute is renowned for its excellent research in public law with a focus on medical law.
The Institute for Constitutional and Administrative Law is part of the Faculty of Law. Employees and students in the field of medical, constitutional and administrative law appreciate the diversity of subjects, interdisciplinary cooperation, and collegial exchange.
The contract term for employment is 6 years. Given the 50 % employment level, collaboration with the practice of public law/medical law is expressly desired.
Your future tasks:
Active participation in research, teaching & administration, which means:
- You build up an independent research profile in the field of Austrian public law with a focus on medical law.
- You are involved in research projects and scientific studies, primarily in the field of medical law.
- You publish nationally/internationally and give lectures.
- You prepare and complete a publication-ready habilitationthesis.
- You hold courses independently within the scope of the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement.
- You participate in evaluation measures and in quality assurance.
- You take on administrative tasks in research, teaching and administration.
- You will maintain contact with the practice of medical law and cultivate relevant networks.
This is part of your personality:
• Completed doctoral/PhD studies in law with a focus on Austrian medical law
• Outstanding dissertation
• Research competence and initiative proven through national and international publications in peer-relevant media
• Didactic skills/experience in e-learning
• IT skills, especially in the area of legal databases.
• Knowledge of European and social law as well as medical law issues is desirable.
• Excellent knowledge of English (C1) / knowledge of another foreign language, ideally French at B2 level
• Team player and high social/communicative skills
- Concrete habilitation ideas desirable
- Willingness to work at the interface between science and practice (50 % position)
- Work experience in a scientific environment
- Experience/knowledge in the field of gender-related or diversity-related topics in research and/or teaching
