The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences aims to strengthen its research in chemoinformatics-supported medicinal chemistry for the design and synthesis of potential drug candidates and is seeking a Ph.D scientist with expertise in these fields. We are a dedicated an internationally leading team offering a creative working atmosphere, flexible working hours, and an adequate starting salary. The position is initially limited until 17.11.2025 and can be extended for the duration of the employee´s absence.

Your future tasks:

Active participation in research, teaching & administration, which means:

• You plan and conduct your own research projects in the field of computer-assisted drug design.
• You publish your research findings in English-language journals.
• You support ongoing research projects in the department with your expertise.
• You independently hold courses in accordance with the collective reguations.

This is part of your personality: 

•    Completed doctoral/PhD studies in the field of chemistry, pharmacy and similar fields
•    Excellent knowledge in computer-aided drug design and medicinal chemistry
•    Publications in peer-reviewed journals
•    IT skills (e.g.- programming skills)
•    Knowledge in Computational Medicinal Chemistry, Chemoinformatics, and Molecular Modeling
•    Excellent knowledge of English (C1) 
•    Team player and high social/communicative skills
•   High resilience Ability to deliver presentations and publications in English or to comprehend them.
