The Department of Developmental and Educational Psychology at the Faculty of Psychology is seeking to fill a postdoctoral position as maternity leave replacement until March 3, 2026 (with the option to extend the contract). The position will initially be filled on a full-time basis with 40 hours per week. From October 1, 2026, the position will be split and reduced from 40 hours per week to 20 hours per week. The position is assigned to the area of Educational Psychology and Societal Change (Prof. Dr. Thomas Götz). We are looking for a new staff member with a degree in psychology or a related subject, a doctorate in psychology or a related subject, as well as scientific interests and experience in research and teaching in the field of educational research. Applicants should be able to work well in a team and have strong social skills. We offer the opportunity to work in a highly motivated, committed, and internationally oriented team. The tasks include scientific research and independent teaching in accordance with the provisions of the collective agreement in the areas of Educational Psychology, as well as administrative collaboration.
Your future tasks:
Active participation in research, teaching & administration, which means:
- You participate in research projects and scientific studies.
- You publish and give lectures.
- You independently hold courses in accordance with collective agreement provisions.
- You supervise your students.
- You participate in evaluation measures and quality assurance.
- You take on administrative tasks in research and teaching.
This is part of your personality:
- Completed doctoral/PhD studies in psychology or a related subject
- Proven research competence and initiative through publications in peer-reviewed media
- High quality in your own teaching
- IT skills (e.g., SPSS)
- Very good English skills
- Team player with strong social/communication skills
