The Institute for Religious Education is a sub-unit of the Faculty of Protestant Theology. The vacant position as a university assistant (postdoc) serves to strengthen our teaching and research portfolio. We are looking for theologians, philosophers, religious scholars or educationalists with a special interest in questions of religion-related education.
We are a research-active institute, value an inspiring working atmosphere and offer a flexible working environment. The duration of the employment contract is 6 years.

Your future tasks:

Active participation in research, teaching & administration, which means:

• Collaboration in research tasks, teaching and administrative tasks that are the responsibility of the organizational unit/subunit to which they are assigned;
• Collaboration in examinations;
• Collaboration on organizational and administrative tasks as well as evaluation measures;
• Supervision of students;
• Independent research activities;
• Independent teaching of courses and holding of examinations in accordance with the assignment.

This is part of your personality:

• Completed or almost completed doctoraUPhD studies in Protestant theology, religious studies, philosophy or educational science
• A keen interest in religious education
• Willingness to attend and organize (inter)national conferences, to work in a team and good IT skills
• A keen interest in interdisciplinary exchange
• lnterest in (or experience with) empirical methodsldeas for your own habilitation project
• Fluent written and spoken German
