The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences has a vacancy for a Senior Scientist. The candidate should have extensive knowledge of HPLC in order to effectively lead research and teaching tasks. We are a dedicated and internationally leading team and offer a creative working environment, flexible working hours and an adequate starting salary. This position is a temporary replacement position. The position is initially limited until 11 March 2026 and may be extended for the duration of the employee's absence.
Your future tasks:
Active participation in research, teaching & administration, which means:

Providing technical support for research projects at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
• Routine maintenance and coordination of repairs to analytical and preparative HPLC equipment.
• Planning and carrying out your own research projects in the field of pharmaceutical chemistry.
• Publishing research results in English-language journals.
• You will independently hold courses in accordance with the provisions of the collective agreement.
• You will take on administrative tasks in research and teaching.
• Providing technical support for the chromatographic separation of drugs (analytical and preparative).
This is part of your personality:
- Completed doctoral/PhD studies in pharmacy/chemistry or similar
- Publications in renowned peer-reviewed journals
- Excellent technical and methodological skills in the areas of separation and analysis techniques (including enantiomeric purity analysis) and high-resolution mass spectrometry
- Experience in independently holding courses
- High level of written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge of university processes and structures
- Knowledge of the following is desirable: Experience with common operating systems and software applications for automated measurement and evaluation of HPLC separations
- Excellent English skills (C1)
- Team player with strong social/communication skills
- IT skills
