POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHER (F/M/X)
(part-time/ 20 h per week)
to join the Research Group on Demography of Austria, headed by Isabella Buber Ennser. | The position offers a contract of 6 months, starting on 1st October 2025.
Your Tasks
The successful candidate will work largely independently on (sub)projects within the framework of the research group, present her/his work and results in internal colloquia and prepare a publication in a refereed journal.
Your Profile
- PhD in Demography, Social Sciences, Statistics, or other relevant fields
- Ability to work independently and to collaborate with a broader research team
- solid knowledge of demographic methods
- Excellent statistical software skills, such as Stata or R
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English

Start of employment is 1st of October 2025. The monthly gross salary (part time 50 %) is € 2.465,30, according to the collective agreement of the Austrian Academy of Sciences.
