Your personal sphere of influence:

At the Department of Business Analytics and Decisions, a position as a prae doc university assistant is to be filled starting from November 1st, 2025.

The contract duration upon appointment is 4 years, with the employment initially being limited to 1,5 years and can automatically be extended to a total of 4 years, provided that the employer does not issue a non-extension notice within a maximum of 12 months.

Your future tasks:

You actively participate in research, teaching & administration, which means:

• You will participate in research projects and scientific studies in the field of Business and Transportation Analytics (e.g., innovative attended home deliveries).
• We expect you to complete your dissertation agreement within 12-18 months.
• You will work on your dissertation and its completion.
• You will independently conduct teaching activities within the scope of collective bargaining agreements, in the field of Business and Transportation Analytics.
• You will undertake administrative tasks in research & teaching.
• You will supervise students.
• You will participate in publications/scientific presentations.

This is part of your personality:

• Completed master's or diploma degree in the field of quantitative-oriented business administration, business informatics, or business analytics
• Initial practical experience in academic writing and research methods in the field of Operations Research (esp. exact and heuristic solution methods)
• Teaching skills / experience in e-learning
• IT skills, esp. an object-oriented programming language such as C#, Python, or Java
• Knowledge in: logistics or/and supply chain management or/and transport planning is required
• Excellent English language skills, both written and spoken
• You are a team player with high social/communication skills
