Your personal sphere of action:
The Department of Commercial and Business Law is looking for a University Assistant Postdoc with an interest in commercial law. As a University Assistant Postdoc you will complement the team of Univ.-Prof. Dr. Ulrich Torggler, LL.M. Your tasks will include active participation in teaching as well as in research and publication projects.
Place of work: Faculty of Law, Department of Commercial and Business Law, Juridicum, Schottenbastei 10-16, 1010 Vienna.
The position is for 3 years with the possibility of prolongation and is expected to start on 02/01/2026.
Your future tasks:
You will actively participate in research, teaching and administration, which means:
- Participation in examination activities
- Participation in publications/scientific articles
- Independent teaching of courses in accordance with the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement
- Student support
This is part of your personality:
- Completed doctoral studies in law
- Special interest in commercial and business law
- Aspired habilitation in commercial and business law
- Above-average academic achievement (at least in the field of civil and commercial law)
- Very good written and spoken German
- Very good written and spoken English
- Excellent computer skills (MS-Office)
- Experience in working with databases
- High level of written and oral skills
- Didactic qualification
- Ability to work in a team
- Advantageous: Experience in the university sector
