Your Tasks
Conduct high-level independent research in one or more areas represented at IQOQI Vienna, including but not limited to:
• quantum optics and quantum information,
• foundations of quantum mechanics,
• quantum communication and quantum networks,
• theory–experiment interfaces,
• quantum aspects of gravity and spacetime physics.
• Develop original research ideas and contribute to the scientific profile of the institute.
• Publish research results in leading international peer-reviewed journals.
• Present results at international conferences, workshops, and seminars.
• Assist in the development, analysis, or interpretation of theoretical models or experimental data.
• Contribute to the preparation of research proposals and collaborative grant applications.
• Provide scientific guidance and mentoring to PhD students and Master’s students.
• Support early-stage researchers through discussions, feedback on research, and joint problem solving.
• Support the institute’s international visibility through scientific networking.
• Promote an open, collaborative, and inclusive research environment.
Your Profile
- Completed PhD studies in physics
- Previous research experience and a scientific track record reflecting your level of seniority
- Experience in supervising students and writing project proposals
