 with focus on Python

(20h-40h per week)

 

You will join an internationally networked team, pursuing research at the intersection between information and communication technology and humanities studies. Your work will be focused on the development and project-specific adaption of APIS, the software framework behind PFP – Prosopographical Research Platform Austria, an infrastructure to aggregate, visualise, publish, and analyse prosopographic data which is being developed at the research unit Digital Humanities Research and Infrastructure. Besides contributing to the development of PFP, you will use the APIS stack to develop semantically rich knowledge bases for research projects.

The initial annual gross salary is € 52.787,70 (for 100% employment) in accordance with the collective agreement for employees of the Austrian Academy of Sciences. Based on your experience and academic degree, a higher salary is negotiable. Employment will start in May 2026 at the earliest and will initially last one year with the option of converting it into a permanent contract. Deadline 15.04.2026.
