- Zimmerkontrolle & Quality Checks: Abnahme gereinigter Zimmer nach Standard (Sauberkeit, Setup, Amenities, Geruch, Technik-Quickcheck, Details wie Fugen/Staub/Ecken
- Quality Checks der öffentlichen Bereiche
- Zimmerstatus steuern: Abgleich mit Front Office (Arrivals/Departures, Stayovers, VIPs, Early Check-ins, Late Check-outs, Prioritäten festlegen)
- Schnittstelle zu Maintenance/Technik: Meldung von Defekten, Nachverfolgung, Zimmer sperren/freigeben, Übersicht über Mängelberichte und Reparaturmeldungen
- Reinigung der Gästezimmer und der dazugehörigen Zimmergänge
- Nachfüllung der Verbrauchsmaterialien und Amenities
- Sorgfältige Handhabung der Arbeitsmaterialien
- Einhaltung von Hygiene-, Qualitäts- und Sicherheitsstandards
- Anleitung on the job: neue Kolleg:innen einarbeiten, Standards erklären, Best Practices zeigen, Servicehaltung stärken, Handlings erstellen und aktualisieren
- Feedback nach Kontrollen, wiederkehrende Fehler sauber adressieren
- Lost & Found: Sicherstellung korrekter Meldungen, Verwahrung und Dokumentation (inkl. Übergaben und Fristen)
- Lagermanagement auf der Etage: Wäsche-, Amenity- und Reinigungsmittelbestand prüfen, Nachbestellungen anfordern, Ordnung und Sauberkeit in den Lagern

We are looking for individuals who enjoy using their brains to provide IT support to the institute's employees and thereby do something meaningful for society.

Your personal sphere of play:
- Management of the geoscientific X-ray diffraction laboratory "GeoX" in particular the technical maintenance of the instruments, as well as ensuring and documenting the operation of the individual diffractometers, as well as administration of the user base.
- Performing measurements, evaluations, report preparation, and invoicing for contract analyses in the field of X-ray crystallography.
- Supporting and training independent instrument users.
- Teaching theory and practice in X-ray crystallography and its application to powder diffractometry, X-ray phase analysis, and X-ray structure determination, with an extent of teaching as required by the universities' collective bargaining agreement.
- Willingness to collaborate across departments, faculties, and universities with research groups from various areas of materials-oriented geosciences and chemistry, especially within the future competence platform Cryst@VIE.
- Responsible implementation of the relevant official radiation protection guidelines for the operation of the instruments and relevant laboratory facilities, as well as interaction and communication with the responsible authorities.
- Willingness to raise third-party funds, and to establish and maintain active industry contacts.

Your personal sphere of play:
- Operation and management: Contribute to overseeing the daily operations of the NMR core facility and the coordination with the shared hyperstructure with the other NMR centers at the University of Vienna, with responsibility for personnel, scheduling, and budget management.
- User and research support: Maintain and develop relations with internal and external users, provide scientific guidance and foster collaborations.
- Instrumentation management: Maintain, develop, and troubleshoot high-end NMR spectrometers (400–700 MHz, solution- and solid-state NMR, EPR, DNP, Prodigy and He-Cryo units), ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Method development: Develop hardware solutions for specialized NMR applications incl. (micro-)control units, sample handling systems, tailored console updates. Develop and optimize pulse programs and parameter sets for chemical, biochemical, and materials applications; support the implementation of full automation workflows.
- Infrastructure maintenance: Maintain and troubleshoot the associated IT infrastructure (Linux and Windows systems), as well as gas and cryogenic systems (He recovery, gas and liquid gas supply for the NMR Centre and the Faculty of Chemistry).
- Teaching and training in NMR spectroscopy: Holding indenpent courses within the scope of the Austrian bargain agreement. Contribute to teaching activities within the Faculty of Chemistry, with a focus on applying NMR spectroscopy and supervision of teaching events at the bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD levels.
- Facility management: Manage budgets, monitor facility usage, and maintain the web-based facility management software to ensure transparent and efficient operation.
- Scientific development: Stay abreast of advances in magnetic resonance and implement best practices to support the Faculty’s and Institute’s evolving research needs.
- Administrative engagement: Contribute to administrative tasks related to research, teaching, and institutional development within the Faculty’s NMR Core Facility.
- The position focuses on supporting and developing research infrastructure rather than establishing an independent research line.

Your professional field of activity:
- You are involved in projects and scientific studies in the research areas of the 'EvoMorRG'.
- We expect you to finalize your dissertation agreement within 12-18 months.
- You work on your cumulative dissertation and its completion within three years.
- You are assisting in laboratory organization and maintenance, especially of our aquarium infrastructure, where we keep various cartilaginous and bony fishes.
- You hold courses independently within the scope of the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement.
- You take on administrative tasks in research and teaching.
- You are willing to engage in international and (depending on the project) interdisciplinary or applied research.
- You are willing to attend national and international conferences to present your research results, and workshops to gain additional scoial and professional skills.
