Tasks:
- Molecular biological analyses for health-related water microbiology (e.g. DNA extraction, PCR, qPCR, sequencing)
- Bioinformatic analyses of microbial community composition using sequencing data
- Statistical analyses of environmental and microbiological data
- Sample collection (water samples from various environments)
- Participation in ongoing projects and collaborative work within a research network
- Contribution to scientific publications and presentations

As a postdoctoral university assistant at the Department of Contemporary History, you will be involved in research and teaching in the field of “Austrian contemporary history since 1918 in an international context.”

Tasks:
- Proactive collaboration in the integration and development of concepts for implementing of AI/ML in research into the ethics review process and the services provided by the Unit of Responsible Research Practices
- Continuous development and ensuring the quality of the research ethics review process, workflows and follow-up of the TU Wien Research Ethics Committee
- Independent consulting and training in the field of research ethics and integrity
- Development of policy documents, shaping structures, and creating training activities for research ethics and integrity for different audiences in the TU Wien
- Conceptualization and creating materials to be used for research ethics and integrity capacity building, consulting, training and raising awareness
- Consulting with the Head of Unit for Research Ethics and Integrity in formulating policy and concepts
- Active participation in identifying and addressing new emerging topic areas in research ethics and research integrity / responsible research
- Documenting and communicating the activities of the Research Ethics Committee and the Service Unit
- Participation in the Unit’s projects and support in organization of its events

- Establishment of a sustainable spatial data infrastructure (SDI) for the long-term (re)use and archiving of research results across campus
- Provision of customized geo-tools analytical and communication (e.g., mapping) services across disciplines
- Optimization of geo-communication through innovative analysis and visualization approaches
- Create synergies through centralized development and provision of geo-data solutions
- Consulting and (semi-automatic) quality control to ensure geo-data products such as Web maps and future generative GeoAI results released at the University of Vienna meet geocommunication requirements and international geo-data standards (e.g., OGC and W3C)
- Integration of the GHD into a future center for long-term anchoring, promotion of interdisciplinary cooperation, and strategic development in the area of (spatial) data science
